Well, put simply, it's a celebration of art in all its glorious forms. The entire town transforms into an open-air gallery. It's practically a legal requirement. In fact, I'm pretty sure the official motto of Nieul-sur-Mer is "Life is short, eat more crêpes."

And if you're lucky, you might even witness something truly bizarre. Like the time a flock of seagulls tried to steal a giant inflatable banana from an art installation. It was… memorable. I’m still not sure what the artist was trying to say, but the seagulls certainly had an opinion.
